Cheerio,
Pat
These courses will appeal to genealogists/family historians looking for education/knowledge that will take them beyond just their ancestors names, and birth, marriage, death dates/locations. The courses are all fun because Pat makes them that way! Pat has been teaching and speaking at seminars for 18 years from Whitehorse to Scotland. She continues to write new courses and will be offering courses again in Fall 2017 through Arcola East Community Association Regina, and online!!

TWILE - engaging for the whole family
This is a brand new website, and perhaps concept, which I've just discovered this morning so I've not had time to search through; however, I wanted to tell you folks in case I forget. Ha haha ... which I do sometimes when I get too many things on my plate like there is this week.
They say "Twile allows family historians to create rich, visual timelines of their family history, made up of milestones and photos from their ancestors' lives. Genealogy service, like MyHeritage and Ancestry, focus primarily on providing access to historical records. Twile, on the other hand, helps users get a visualization of the information and easily share it with their family."
"There is a real danger that all of the family history that's been uncovered will be lost, unless it's shared and someone else continues the work. we're aiming to give genealogists a place to privately share their family history - a way that will make the younger generations want to explore the history and contribute to it."
"The website is completely free to use, allowing users to build or import their family tree and create a timeline by uploading photos or adding milestones - such as birth, marriage and death - for anyone on the tree." https://twile.com/
So I think it's worth a look. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Cheers,
Pat

Reminder - FREE Genealogy Sessions
I mentioned this a week or so ago, so this is just a reminder for the Southern California Genealogical Society's FREE streaming sessions June 4 - 7, 2015. I believe the sessions will be archived for a short time so if you're already busy this weekend you might get a second chance. Enjoy!! http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?ca=04c637fc-7cb2-41a1-a22b-8cf56884e53a&c=59afe990-aa60-11e3-8990-d4ae529a8639&ch=5a91be10-aa60-11e3-89e3-d4ae529a8639
